Haueaki Maix Lodes.—The shaft; is now squared and timbered down to 178 feet evidently in close proximity to a reef from water evidence. ' A chamber is being opened out and a well hole sunk. Machinery working first class, no trouble bo cope with water, foundations for permanent plant are going in and will be completed in a few weeks. Waikoromiko.— The drive in the islackmoro'a leader has been further extocded 25 feet, making a total distance of 50 feeb. Argosy.—The 'loading atopo in No. 1 drive has reached a point where the reef split into stringer?. A fine strong body ot reef shows in the stopo which may yield a few pounds of stone any time. The crosscut) looks well, mineral veins Bhowing all along drive. The big reef looks very promising go far, but it will take time to trench through it. . .
Shkkidan.— The low level crosscut is in 943 feet. Golden Fleece. — Low level extended total distance of 362 feet. Still going through good class of sandstone. Pkogrkss-Castle Rock.—No. 3 level : Stope going soubh from rise. Reef looks remarkably well, and on breaking down could see gold freely through ore, and obtained 281b of picked stone, some of very good quality. Waitekauri South—The reef is looking well aa driven on and becoming more solid, being fully 12ft wide. Hauraki No. 2.—The quartz in the oastern face proves to be a leader six inches thick. Omega.—The low level is in 192 feet, and a change of country haa taken place.
Boss.—The two reefs in No. 3 drive have now formed a junction, making into a splendid body of quartz the full width of the drive.
