FOUR-IN-HAND. The manager telegraphed to-day:— " Broke down the reef. Secured 121b of specimens." ROYAL STANDARD. The time for receiving tenders for the Royal Standard battery ab Wharekeraupunga have been extended for a period of one week. Tonders close at the Company's Office, Thames, by noon of Saturday, 17th July, instead of the 10th. CUIRASSIER. The following notice was posted on the Exchange to-day :—" One ton ore treated at Messrs Frasßr and Son's yielded £36 oa l^d." NEW MUNSTER. The manager ot this To Aroha mine telegraphed to-day:—"ln breaking down the reef to-day I obtained some very fair picked stone." . IRVING. The halffyearly meeting of shareholders in thia Company lapsed for want of a ■quorum. The directors' report stated that the property had been placed under option with an English Syndicate. The balancesheet showed receipts £925, and the expenditure left a credit of £450 10s 3d The chief items expended were : Wagoe, £290 10s ; mine material £24 8a Id, and management and directors, £63. MONTE CARLO. The shareholders in the Monto Carlo Goldmining Company have decided that the Company shall go into voluntary liquidation. The legal managor, Mr J. P, Martin, has been directed to tako all the necessary action for winding the Company up. EXCHANGE. The hnlf-yearly meeting of shareholders in the Exchange Goldmining Company to have bean held yesterday affcornoon lapsed for want of a quorum.- The directors' report stated that protection had boen granted, and that the directors had every confidence in the ground and its prospects. Tbe cash in hand and in the bank is stated to be £25 2s lid. SOUTH BRITISH. The half-yoarly meeting of shareholders in the South British G.M. Company was held yesterday afternoon at Mr W. Clarke's office, Mr W. Johnston presiding. It was decided to close dov/n and watch developments on the Crown property. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £24 16s lid. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. The retiring directors, Messrs J. B. Macfarlane and T. J. Steelo, wore re-elected, and also the retiring auditor, Mr E. Way mouth*
