Adelaide, this day. Several Committees eat all yesterday. The Constitutional Committee decided to retain tho title of Commonwealth.
The salary of the Governor was fixed afc £10.000. The old Bill made ib not le»B than thab amount. The namn of bhe Senate was changed to States Assembly. Ib U understood that the number of State members was reduced from eight to tix, and the qualification reduced to the age of 21, instead of 30 years, as fixed by the Bill of 1891, while nietnbera must be a reeident of the Commonwealth three instead of five years. c Tho Finance Commibtoo did nothing beyond having a general conversation ; in fact, it coutuinb quite a number of heavenborn financiers, each with a peb eeheme of his own, and agreement aeems a somewhat remote contingency. The Judicature Committee decided to set up a Federal High Court similar to, thab provided by the Bill of 1891, provisionally on certain subsequent clauses being adopted. The question of liuality of the Court of Appeal iB nob yot settled.
Mr Eddy, Railway Commissioner, and Mr Mafchieson, of Victoria, bave been eutnmoned to give evidence before tho Finance aod Trade Committee.
