The Association approved of the principle of federating all kindred societies, and suggested a conference ab Christchurch to draw up a complete scheme. Christchurch, this day. Mr Thomas Herrick, who has boon identified for many years with charitable, work at the City Mission Home, died early bhia morning from hemorrhage. Mr Auoustus Dyer, teacher of laundry work in the Christchurch school of domestic instruction, died Buddenly on Monday. Woodend Maoris having been asked to nominate a representative for the Maori contingent, appointed Waru, the wellknown footballer and athlete. iNVERCAROiLL, this day. Mr John Holmes, of Wellington, addressed a meeting of business men regarding the opening of fresh marketß for New Zealand flax, laying stress on tbe necessity for Governmenb grading. A mobion was passed urging bhe Governmenb to do its v tmost to aesisb the movement.
