IRISH AFFAIRS.
THE GOVERNMENT POLICY,
London, March 30. In the House of Commons, Mr Blake moved that the Government remedy the grievances of Ireland on the basis of the report of the Irish Financial Commission.
Sir M. Hicks-Beach replied that financial and political Home Rule would be equally fatal, and the Government would adhere to the common taxation system and help to develop the resources of the country if the new Commission advised it.
