Coromandel, this day.
Thirty pounds of specimen atone broken out of the reof in the lowest level of Scotty's Hauraki mine are now on view ab the Bank of Now Zealand. The reof is nvo foot wide, and a leador 15 inches thick, forming a section of this lode, is making tho specimen sbono. This 301bs is from tho firsb breaking down. This discovery of specimens is considered » moat important ono. Mr C. Hartrid^e (Chairman of Directors) and Captain Hodge proceeded to bho mine this morning to break tho reef down again, when doubtless a further haul will be obtained.
