RAGLAN.

Capfcnin Broun, Governmenb Eofcomologist, has been visiting this district. He lectured on "Insects, Injurious nnd Otherwise," in tho Public Hall on the 20th inst., and at bbc close of the lecture exhibited specimens and answered questions. The annual sports and treat for tho children , attending the Raglan District School was held on the Kith inst. Tho events were well contested. A plentiful tea waa provided. In tbe evening a magic lantern entertainmenb, " A Trip up the Rhine," was given by Mr R. J. Williams, tba pictures and descriptions being very interesting. The drought seems to have broken up. Showery weather has prevai'od for the lasb week. Raglan is pretty full, of tourists and picnics and excursions are the order of the day.
