GOLD FROM THE LOW LEVEL
The derelopmonts in the low level ab this Coromandel mine ora calculated to have an impprtant elieot upon the future of the mining industry in t-hat district. Several times reports have been published abpat gold bearing reefs having been met with in the low level ab the Kapanga mine, bub to-day those who wished wero able to form an estimate of the value of the reef, as some very rich clone was on view at Messrs Frater Bros,' office. This atone was broken from a two foot reef at the 940 level by Mr Cecil Harbridge, chairman of directors, on tho occasion of the visit of the Hon. Mr Cadman, Minister for Mines, last week. The stone shows a rich band of gold about two inches thick running riffht through ib. Such result* at) the low level cannot bub havo a great and beneficial effect upon the future of the Coromandol district, as ib will show the English companies tbab there is gold for deep sinking.
