Mr Jackman addressed the electors at Kaiwaka on the 20th inst. There were aboub 70 electors present. Mr F. Clark was voted to the chair. Mr Jackman met wibh a good reception, and was listened to with profound attention throughout while he delivered the moeb practical political address we have ever been favoured with. He touched upon such a wido, range of subjects and explained his meaning co clearly that the after questioning could hardly be taken into accounb ; bub as your Warkworth correspondanb has given such a good accounb of tbe general outline of Mr Jackman'. address it is unnecessary to repeat it here. Mr Jackman asked the audience nob to accord him a vote of thanks and' confidence, bub of thanks only, as he made such the rule throughout his tour, the former being not enly misleading to candidates, but had a tendency to cause ill feeling; but he hoped thab if the electors did have confidence in him they would not full to show ib on bhe day of the poll. A unanimous vote of thanks waß accorded Mr Jackman for his practical and lucid address. A vote of thanks to the Chairman was carried by acclamation. Mr Jackman addressed bhe electors ab flakaru the previous evening, aboub 60 presenb, with results similar bo above. Mr Jackman is very sanguine of being returned.— (Own Correspondent,)
