FATAL ACCIDENT AT COROMANDEL.

Coromandel, this day. An inquest was held to-day at Uncle's hotel, Tiki, on the body of a young man named John Davis, who was killed yesterday by the falling of a tree. From the.evidence it appeared, that Davis, who was employed bush felling in Frater Bros.' bush at Tiki, was felling a kauri, which in descending caught on a small tree, and tho latter came oo top of the unfortunate man, terribly crushing him. He was extricated, bub died on the way bo town. Deceased, a married man, leaves a widow and three young children. A verdict of accidental death was returned.
