MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS.
Light Brigade.—The manager is opening up on the last reof cub. He expects bo meet a largo body of quartz from present indications. Reef shows good prospects of gold from the solid stone. Cannobgive the exacb thickness of reof until further developed.
VVaikanae,—The country is all good sandstone and the dish prospects have shown gold of coarse grain and a deeper colour bho further we go in. We are now driving towards the Fortuna in good sandstone gold-bearing country. We will continue the drive until we geb the Fortuna reef. We have opened Bor 9 reefs varying from 2 feet to 10 feet with about 1,000 feeb of backs.
European.—The country is hard but a very good claes of sandstone for gold. There is a fine quartz leader carrying good prospects, and • should bo worth opening oub after we geb the reef in hand.
