MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS.

Sir Julius. —A drive is to be commenced through the spur next week.

Mount Waihi.—Owing bo the ground being broken trenching is to bo abandoned in favour of putting in a drive.

Karangahake.—ln bobh drives good progress* has been made, and there is a good class of sandstone in the face.

Kurunui.—A croas reef to the drive nine inches thick has been met with composed of promising stone. The trial parcels have been cruahed at the battery, bub the silver has nob yet been roborbed.

South British.—ln bhe drive Btringers of quartz are met wibh every few feeb, end a large quantity of water is coming ia ab the face.

Waitekauri Sodth. — Theire is little change to report in the workings, which are in good sandstone country.

Progress Castlk Rock. — A leading Btope going soubh has been driven 7fb, The run of gold aa preven aeema to bo dipping south, Seven pounds of good picked stone were obtained in breaking down on Saturday.

Pride of Tokatea.—The second stope eastward is along 21fb, in good mineralised country. Tho lead has averaged 2in thick, and has shown colours of gold in tho etone when broken down. The level under the road is cleaned up for a distance of 198 ft.

Magazine.—Have broken through Mm tight bar. .*■ Golden Spark.—The reef. bag onlfr been driven on 17 feet south, and looks well in the face.

Crescent.—A change for the belief fn the character of the country has taken place. Orient section: The ore body re. ferred to loeb week will measure two feet in thickness from wall to wall, and U hetTily charged with mineral.

Conquering Hero. — The drive en Scobby's reef has been extended 12ft, which makes the total distance driven; 112 ft. The reef has been small the last Bft or 9ft, bub ib has made again, and the formatiaa is now 18in, 9in being of nice lookiag quartz well charged with minerals favour* able for geld. The flow of water still con. tinues in the face.

Eureka, —The ground continues very hard, and progress slow, The reef looks about the same, and is 6in wide.

VVaihi Pinnacles.—Expect to make* start on Wednesday. Sterling.—The low level crosscut bai been extended a further distance of 10 feet since laat report. The country has now changed into a better class of ground for working. In the floor of the level,riix feci back from the face, a loader of heavily mineralised quarts: nine inches thick was cub.

MoNAßoct of All.—During the week too low level has been extended a distance of sfb on the reef in No. 2 level. In another 15fb of driving the Premier reef should be intersected. The indications are favourable for gold.

Empire.—The tramway being completed, work has been- resumed at both the crossoub and the face in bhe main drive,
