Fair business was transacted on the Exchange to-day, bat) on the average prices did.not show much altorabion. One of the exceptions was bhe Midas, which shares advanced from Is 8d to 23 3d, with very free sales of large parcels ab 2s, and further buyers at the same figure. Moanabaiari chares were in demand ab 15?, with eales at 15s 6d. Several transactions took place in Crown shares at from 50s to 525. Purus were firm at 6s, and Talisman Exbendeds ab 3s: Free tales were made of Bay Views at 2s and 2s Id, and Morning Stars as high as Is Id. Aoreres were firmer in price, and Try Flukes sold at 13a 4d. Upper Thames stocks generally speaking were nob in quite so ranch demand, the principal business today being in Kuaobnnu and Lower Thames shares.
