At the reception of tho Rev. L. M. Isitt lasb night, aboub 2,000 were present. Mr Isitb was presented with an illuminated address by the temperance bodies of Christeburoh and suburbs. Ab the Police Court, Hugh Mulligan waa committed for trial on a ch»r«e of erabezzling fiuma of £57 and £269, bhe property of the Cbrißtchurch Opsrtitive Booti.makers' Society.
