Morning Star.— Cleaver* reef is looking well and well mineralised, a little more driving still remaina to be done. While driving for the big reef, we cut another which looks well lam of opinion that we I have also found the Bay View reef. The j specimens on hand, I sh^all forward at the 'earliest opDortunity. Pride of Haubaki.—The main level on the Pukewhau reef has bsea extended tor a further distance of 3ft for the week." The reef has been considerably split up for the last few days, but should improve again very shortly, the country rock being all that might) be desired. I have only one one man employed on this level ac present, as I havo now Btarted a level to cub the new leader, the same being now in a distance of 10ft, and should have the same to hand in about another 15 or 20 feet. Hauraki North.—The shaft has been sunk 10ft since making a Btart, and everything is now working very well. Work having been stopped has caused a few slips in bhe old working, which will require to be attended to.
