Miss Nunnelly, of Wellington (New Zealand), beat Miss Lee in ladies single handicap by two to one, and also defeated Miss Shaw in the open singles by two to love. In the intercolonial doubles, Colquhoun. and Miss Shaw beat Parker and Miss Nunnelly by two to one.

In the Intercolonial Doubles the dashing play of the New Zealanders was loudly applauded, especially that Of Miss Nunnelly, who at times electrified the spectators with brilliant strokes.
