Very successful Sunday-school anniversary services were held yesterday in the Devonport Presbyterian Church. Air Hunter, ot Otahuhu, conducted tbe morning and afternoon services, and Mr C. E, Button the evening service. The church was tastefully decorated for the occasion. A feature waa the singing of the children and the choir combined, wbo were ably conducted by Mr W. Brown. Quartettes were sung by Misses V. Gelston and J. H. Hume, Messrs Wallace and W. Brown. Miss Law and Mr N. McDougall officiated at the piano and organ respectively.

Owing to the large number of performers taking part in the Queen's Birthday Gathering practices, it has been decided to divide the young people and place a programme ab both Sb. James's and the Choral Hall on May 25th, with an amalgamated performance in the City Hall on May 29th. Mr S. Frith, junr., will conduct tl»e Sb. James's choir, and Mr Frich, senr., the one ab the Choral Hall. Practices will be held nexb week, as advertised elsewhere.
