RRUNNER RELIEF FUND.
A meeting of the Auckland Committee of the Brunnerton Relief Fund was held yesterday at the Municipal Building. The Mayor (Mr J. J. Holland) presided. After a general diecuasion with regard tea circular from the Premier inviting the Auckland Committee te appoint a delegate to the Conference to be held in Wellington to decide how the fund should be administered, Mr J. H. Upton moved, and it was resolved, thab the following telegram be sent to tho Mayors of Wellington and Dunedin :—" Is ib your intention to fall in with the suggestion of the Premier re a conference to be held in Wellington on the 14th instant, or to adhere to the arrangement previously agreed on, that the matter should be dealt with ab the Municipal Conference to be held in July? In the meantime we have declined till we hear from your Committees." Thet Mayor mentioned thab he would convene another meeting on receipt of a reply, and also that the amount banked to date was £1,334 6a.
