A SAFE EXPLODED
£100 STOLEN,

Hawkea, this day. A telegram to the "Star " states that the Elbbam railway station was broken open early thia morning, and looted. The thieves entered by forcing the door. The aafo was then blown open by some explosive, and £100 in cash stolen. At 7 a,m. the empty cash box was found" blown open, and thia was the firsc known of the robbery, though it is reported that aboub 2 a.m. a noise was heard, which ia now supposed to have been the explosion.
