FIRE IN WELLINGTON.

Wellington, this day. The premises ef Mr H. J. Rodgera, draper, Mannorß-3treefc, were badly damaged by fire this morning, which broke oub in the upper storey of tha building1. The stock on the lower floor suffered from smoke and water.

Mr Rodgers estimates tho damage to his stock and building at £700. The building was owned by Winder, and insured in tho Commercial Uniou for £603 ; furniture for £200 in the same office. The stock was inpured for £300 each in the Commercial Union, South British, Royal, Exchange and Phoenix.
