COROMANDEL MINING.

Coromandel, Wednesday.
Kathleen.—The shaft has been let to Chipman and party by Captain Hodge. It is to be sunk to a depbh of 150 feet. This ground is on tho flat below the Hauraki, Bunker's Hill, and other properties.
Golden Hill.—A parcel of ore is being shipped from the Golden Hill mine at Manaia to the Thames for treatment atone of the batteries, and also at the Thames School of Mines Experimental Works. Mr D. O'Sullivan, of the Thames, who haa been managing the mine for some months pasb,
is aboub to return to the Thames. His health has been very poor for a good while back. Peveril.—This company, lately floated in London to work the City of Derry property, is to start work aboub the end ot this month. The West Tobatea is now known as Hauraki East, another English oompany owning ib, and has men prospecting. Preparations are being made for putting in a drive, and shortly the thorough development of the reefs in the ground will be in progress. Mr Skrine is manager of this ground and bhe Triumph on behalf of the English owners.
