A SATISFACTORY YIELD,
Thab famous Coromandel gold-producer, tho Hauraki mino, haa made a good sbarb for bhe now year, with a crushing valued ab £5,082. Tho time covered ia from the Mbh ot December to tho 18th of January, exclusive, of course, of bho time tho mino was shut down for the Christmas bolidaya. For the working period 278 bons of ore were treated for a yield of 1,694 ounces of molted gold. This gives an average value per bon of aboub 6oz ldwb 21gr. This makes the total output of gold from this mine to date £92,200 4s. COROMANDEL MINES AMALGAMATION. Aba meeting of representatives of the Zealandia, Southern Cross and Hauraki Extended Goldmining Companies held on January 21 terms of amalgamation were agreed to, and meetings will be called to wind up tho two latter companies, and to increase the Zealandia capital wibh a view to absorbing the other companies.
