Excellent entries were received for the Australasian Championship Mooting, so as to cause some embarrassment in 7aoea like the quarter-mile, as the course is hardly wide enough to allow a dozen men ->o starb abreasb. 440 Yds Hurdles. — Masterton (Now South Wales), Townley and Doyle (Victoria), Roberts, Martin and Barley (Now Zealand).

Putting-the-Weight..—Moir( Victoria), Rhodes and Louisson (New Zealand).

HALF Mile Flax.—Corner, Bi«ga and Wasterton (New South Wales), Wingrove and Townley (Victoria), Clark and Low (New Zealand), Thomas (London A.0.), Campbell (Queenaland), Wood and Grierson (New Zealand).

The following are the bicycle entries :— Half-mile.—Crow (Dusedin), Thompson, Simpson, Jonoa, and Waller (Cnristchurch), Pilkington (Auckland), Petorson (Napier), Kerr (Sydney), Lucy (Wellington). Five Mile.—Same aa above, with Esaon (Weat Coast) and Shorland (Christchurch). Ten Mile Bicycle.—Same as Five Mile, with Langdown (Christchurch).

One Mile. —Same as Five Mile,

Twenty-five Mile.—Same aa Ten Mile,

There was some fear that bicyclists would be frightened of Korr and Jones, and that the entries would be spoiled, bub the entries are very good, though whether they will all start ia another matter. It is regarded as a certainty that New Zealand must be the champion"colony. Only first points couut ia this competition.
