RICH FIND OF GOLD,
(BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT.)
Thames, this day
A rich find of gold has been unearthed in the Golden Mount special claim, Whangamata district. Tha lode is of great magnitude and shows gold very freely, quite surpassing anything discovered in this district;. The same lode trends through the Flemington special claim adjoining. The reef in this claim has given assay results as high a3 £32 per ton. Surveyors are busy surveying these blocks, and when this work is completed and the leases aro granted, the parties interested expect to surprise the mining world with the ore lodeß they have in hand.
