LAWN TENNIS
The Wesb End Lawn Tonnis Club's ground, Ponsonby, was opened for the season on Saturday afternoon. The weabhar vvao ploasanb, and the afternoon's recreation was very enjoyable, play being kept up till nearly dark. Afternoon tea waa served, and music waa supplied by Mr E. Burko's excellent string band. During the afternoon Miss Fauldor received the racqueb which she won last season, being tho prize presented by Mr Hatton.
