The ketch Thistle has been weatherbound in Auckland for about a fortnight, causing great inconvenience-to the settlers here. A light draft sbeamer insbead would answer the purpose admirabi}-. The heavy rains last week caused the argest flood thab we have had for threo or four years. However, except for a bridge being swept away and a few crops of potatoes spoilt, little damage waa done. The Gaelic-speaking portion of the communiby are now holding services in the Upper Hall. The Rev. Mcßao is to officiate, until the return of the Roy. McLfinnan from the United States.
