A NEW GUINEA MURDER.
PROSPECTOR KILLED BY NATIVES.
Brisbane, this day. Nkws has reached Cooktown from New Guinea of the murder of Clarke, leader of the Cairns' prospecting party. Clarke was in a boat minding the arms, and was being towed up the Clyde River by his comrades, who were aahore. Nativea cut the line, and clubbed Clarke, and destroyed the arms. The remainder of the party escaped. A Government party was also attacked by natives.
