Dr. Wright has been telegraphed for. No further particulars are yet) available. The most dangerous place on the journey is ab Thorpe's Hill, coming down to the Gorge. A man was killed there about bwo years ago.

P aero a, this day. A very serious accident happened to the Waihi m9il coach when coming into Paeroa this morning.

The coach was coming down a Bteep hill known as Earle's, near Owharoa, when the brake gave way, and the coach, with a full load of passengers, came round a sharp bend ab a very rapid pace. The coach capsized, and the whole of the passengers were thrown out.

The coach turned completely over, and was carried to the bottom of the hill and over tho bridge at the foot by the terrified horses.

The coach was completely wrecked. All the passengers were more or less hurt.

The driver, J. O'Donnel, had his ankle disolocated. J. Hatton had hie arm pub out ab the elbow, • and Mr Gray, of Tauranga, was badly knocked about. It is a miracle no one was killed.

The hill where the accident occurred is very steep, with many sharp bende, and the coach would be quite unmanageable without a " brake."
