CLAIMS PEGGED OFF AT KARORI.

(BY TELEGKAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.)*

Wellinoton, this day,

Five claims have been pegged off at Karori, and two more applied for. All except one are above fche dam, and waahings are likely to affect the reservoir. The Council will take measures to protect the water supply, and will visit the scene before finally deciding about; the leases.
