Lady Frances Ganning haa been committed for trial on a charge of forging her father's nahie to bills of exchange. She has admitted the offence.
The Cowley slander case has been settled privabely. Mr G. F. Morris abates that he cannot advise the opening of a Victorian wine depfic in London at present. Shares in the Australia Smelting Company are being allotted. The Correctional Tribunal (Rome) declares that the judicial courts ore incompetent to deal with Cavaloths charges against Criepi. ■ ■ .
