COLLAPSE OF A BUILDING.
EIGHTEEN LIVES LOST.
New York, Augusb 9. An eight-storey building being erected in West Broadway collapsed, and eighty workmen engaged upon it fell to the basement, eighteen being killed. The cause was the piling up of materials. near the lifb on each floor.
