FIRE ON S.S. ORIENT.
■ Melbourne, Augusb 10.
A fire broke oub on the steamer Orient, in the bunker where tea is chiefly stored. The compartment was watertight, and bhe fire was confined there owing bo the water poured in. The steamer had a dangerous list and had to be hauled on an even keel before bbc operations of extinguishing bhe tire could be proceeded with.
