A DOWAGER CHARGED WITH SLANDER.
London, August 9.
A remarkable action for slander is being heard, which is causing a great stir in society. Mrs Jacoby, a member of the Badminton Hunt, charges the Dowager Lady Cowley with accusing her of writing and circulating obecene letters. The plaintiffasserts than Lady Cowley herself wrote them.
