Tho Farmers' Conference resolved thai; if Parliament decide to impose direct taxation, it should take the form of an income tax applied to all claaees without exemption.
A resolution was carried in favour of a State Bank, and Government assistance to fanners in the exporb of produce ; also that local governmeub be more systematic in the destruction of the rabbit.
The Governmenb of New South Wales has lob a conbracb for the manufacture locally of £26,000 worth of iron piles, This will gis'e employment to 300 men.
