Mackay regarding tbe dog ranger.—Mr Garrard explained thab he was merely performing hie duty *in arresting a stray dog. —It was decidad to instruct the ranger nob to go beyond the duties imposed on him by tbe Registrar. v Hakbouk-stbeet. — Thomas Mahoney wrote calling attention to an oj,Ba drain in °< this street.—The Engineer reported that -. - the matter had been attended to. Permits for building were granted to E.Mahoney and*Sona and J. Hill. ' .] Committees. —On the motion of the Mayor, Mr P. Dignan waa transferred from ' the Finance to the Legal Committee, and Mr A.
