The new scow Pirate loads coal at-Ngun-guru for Napier, and the B.c. Kiripaka proceeds from this port to Ngunguru to load also for Napier.

-The Araerician barque H. 0., Jqhneoa was towed into the channel this' morning by the pis. Eagle and sailed for New York. The barque; is in good trim and should make a smart passage. > .

The barque Trinidad, which has a part cargo of "New York merchandise for this port), left Wellington yesterday. On discharging her cargo here she loads with gum for New York under charter to Messrs Arnold Cheney and Co. '-■'"■

The e.s. Southern Cross arrived from the South about 9.30 o'clock this morning. Mr Wheeler, tho purser, reports that she left) Wellington on the 3rd, called at Napier, Gisborne, Pakarae, Tologa Bay, Tokomaru, Tuaparoa, Awanui, and rrieebing with fiae wdather arrived as above.

The brigantino Defiance arrived in port this afternoon from Newcastle.' She left tho coal port'on the 2Sthult., and perienced strong northerly winds and ditty weather for the first few days, followed by strong southerly winds till rounding the North Capo on Monday last, thence variable to arrival. The brigantine discharges at) tbe'Railway,Wharf. ■■ . ■ '
