Bombay.—Mr J. H. Parker presided ab fche meeting of ratepayers. The bala'nce-sheel sheet showed total receipbs, £226 13s 6Jd, including £6012 sod balance ab commencement; of the year, and £107 4s yjd rates received, -and:. Government, subsidy, £56 16s. . Reference was mado to the.Governmenfc grant of £200 towards the iormabion and metalling of the Patumahoe Road ; also, £100 granted for the Union Road.
