Paris, January 7* News haa beearreceived thad MM. Gerard and Phins, two French explorers, succeeded in reaching Lhassa, the sacred capital of Thibet j bub that when leaving the city the inhabitants killed Gerard and captured Phins, whatis held for punishment.
