Christchurch, this day. Mr L. Bergh, from Ashby, Bergh and Co., ironmongers, Christchurch, was drowned at Sumner at 7 a.m. to-day, while bathing in the surf. He leaves a widow and family of seven. He was well known, and had many friends.
