It has been definitely decided to take St. Clement 3to Christchurch to take part in the C.J.C. Meeting. Mr J. 0. Evetb left for Wanganui on Monday. He thence proceeds to Chrisbchurch to be present ab the C.J.C. Meeting. The Committee of the Auckland Racing Club have appointed Mr Wm. Knighb to frame the handicaps for the second day'B racing of the A.R.C. Second Spring Meeting. The local trotting mare Yum Yum has been served by La Rue. Royal Rose and Au Revoir are the local favourites for the New Zealand Cup ab 8 to 1 each. Lottie and Impulse are quoted at 10 to 1.
Ibis common talk in Auckland thab Three Star will be a non-Btarter for the New Zealand Cup. The two-year-old filly Forma is not to be sent to Christchurch to take parb in the C.J.C. Meeting. At Wellington Park, Gannet (by Anteros —Albatross) has produced a filly to Cuirassier.
The report thab Skirmisher is amiss has been denied by bhe horse's trainer. The death is announced of the stallion Chanbilly, by Apremont—Miss Flat. " Asmodeus" takes Capstan to be a better stayer than Bruin. Late London files announce the death of the stallion Tristan. \\ hile racing he won about £25,000 in stakes.
