A fire which occurred at Blenheim on Sept, J24 completely gutted the premises of Macey (photographer^, Shaw (chemist)^ Harding (jeweller) and Hennessey (hairdresser). The outbreak occurred in the back of Mr Shaw's shop, where an explosion of chemicals took place, and in a few minutes the fire ran through the buildings. A second fire broke oat in Fitzherbert's law buildings at 2.55 o'clock on the following morning. A two storey building was completely destroyed.
