POLICE COURT.—(THIS DAY.)

Bueb, S.M.), W Druntcenness.-—Two first offenders were dismissed with a caution, and a third was fined se, or in default 24 hours' imprisonment with hard labour. l- / Obsoenb Language. — Eleanor Emma Butwell was charged with having used obscene language. She said she waa drunk, and did not know what che said. Evidence was given by Constable Howell. The accuaed said she would goto her husbaod in the country if given the chance. His Worship said he Would adjourn the cafe until Friday, and in the meanwhile she could go to her husband. ■ ,'
Alleged Disorderly Hodses. — Ely Blake was charged with being the keeper of a common bawdy house.—Mr F. E. Baume appeared ior the defendant) and asked for an adjournment for one week as his client had met with an accident while assisting to remove furniture aa abe was leaving the honse. /Ho understood that the injuries wera somewhat serions.-—The adjournment was granted. A similar charge against Julia Wilson was also adjourned on the'application of Mr Earl, who stated that an important witness was ill. ■■>
