On Saburd'ay, in the match Ngaruawahia againsb Te Awamubu (junior competition), Te Awamubu won by eight points to five. For Te Awamatu, Boeketb gob two tries, and one disputed try, Wilson kicking a good goal from the first. The second attempb was good, bub nob quite successful. For Ngaruawabia O'Connor goc a try shortly after starting, through wearing a blue jersey (Te Awamnbu'e colours), and consequently being taken for one of their ownmen. Daviea.whoplayedarabblinggatne throughout kicked a good goal. Play was nil over fche field ab one time, four forces beine obtained in five minutes, and three times *Te Awamutu were forced and once Ngaruawahia. Mr g mar t, acted as referee, and managed to aafcisfv all parties, fcboug'b at times he gob well growled ab. The barracking was greater than anything in Hamilton previously seen, bub was (zood-natured enough, This win pubs Te Awamutu ahead oa the firsb round for fche junior cup. TUAICAO v. POKEKOHB.-Tbese two clubs met for fche firsb time this season ab Taukau and after a close and exciting game, the visitors won by 3 points to ml. McKean, for, Tuakaa, won the ton, and

In a very short time Pukekohe invaded the Tda\kau territory, and kepfe the local men penned in their 25 nearly the whole of the first spell, only scoring once, when Jamieson .secured a pass from Rolleston and scored. For the visitors,, Hogan, McGougb, Rolleabon, Graham and Brownlee were the main stays of the team, While for tho local team, McKean Bros., Finlay, Heally, Sheldon, Vinson and Brown played sterling games.
