A concarb is being organised in aid of the widow of the late Mr Jas. McComisb, fcha local musician. The City Hall has been engaged and the concerb will be held on Friday : 'th May. Already promisefl of assistant) have bean received from bbo leading musical artists in the city and there is every prospect of a varied and excellent programme being arranged. Mr McComish was well and favourably known in musical circles in Auckland for many years. Mr E. D. Benjamin, the owner of the yachb Marafcea. has had three pictures of his crafb painted by Mr Gregory, a marine painter, from Sydney. The same artiafe ib to painb a picture of the yacht Matangi for the Auckland Yacht Club.
