PAKURANGA HUNT CLUB.

The attendance at the Oarrett benefit race meeting on Saturday, at Elleralie, held under the auspices of the Pakuranga Hunt Club, was by no means email, but still it was not so large as expected. Messrs C. F. Andrews and L. Adams passed the sum of £2,165 through the totalisator during the afternoon. The racing throughout wls of the most interesting character, and there was a healthy tone about the different contests. Good totwlisator dividends, were the order of the afternoon. Acacia, the winner of the Benefit Handicap, paying dividends of £20 4s and £15 6s. Mrs Lennard's win was well received. Mr H. H. Hayr, Secretary, worked very batd for the success of the meeting and lefb nothing undone, while he had a good assistant in Mr Wm. Percival, Secretary of the A.R.C. The concluding events of the meeting resulted :—

Pony Handicap.—Virgin, 1; Brown Mantle, 2; Storyteller, 3. Won by a length. Time, lmin 19^ec. Dividends, £13 2g and £11 9b.

Steeplechase. — Potentate, 1 ; Crazy Kate, 2 ; Fishmonger, 3. Adventurer was the only other starter. Won by a length. Time, smin 28sec. Dividends, £4 11s and £3 12s.

Pony Hurdles. —Red Rose, 1; Little Tom, 2 ; Romeo, 3. Won easily. Time, 3min laoc. Dividends, £2 2s and £2 Is.

Shorts Handicap.—Tingara,l; Dorothy, 2; Quadranb, 3. This raoe was ran in the dark. Time, lmin 4sec. Tiogara won by a neck. Dividends, £4 13s and £4 12s.
