ATLANTIA NEARLY IN RUINS.
THEBES UTTERLY DESTROYED.
THREE HUNDRED LIVES LOST.
Athens, April 28. The earthquakes have caused widespread havoc throughout the country. AtUnia ie nearly in ruins. Hundreds of families there and elsewhere are homeless.
A shock occurred while a service was being held in the Cathedral in the city. There was a crowded congregation, and a panic resulted, which wsi only allayed by the presence of mind of M. Triconpi. Thebes has been utterly destroyed by the shocks, and ib is estimated bbab fully 300 persons have been killod. The Larissa prison has been wrecked by aa earthquake, and the prieoners liberated.
