Wellington, Sunday. For tho lasb thirty-six hours rain has been falling almost withoub intermission, and today everything wears a wintry aspect, the weather being bitterly cold. All outdoor fixtures yosterday had to be postponed.
Blenheim, Sunday
Incessant rain fell from early on Saturday morning until this morning. Late lasb nighb the riverg began to rise, and reports that had reached town from the country warned residents that a big flood mighb bo expected. The anticipations were fully borne oub, the town being completely flooded.
