THE THAMES REGATTA.

The Thames Regatta passed off very successfully on Saturday last. Tho Northern Steamship Company's g.s. Rotomahaua was flagship, and was well patronised by the public. The following are the results :•— Open Sailing Boats.—J. Kernick's Ida, 1; C. McLean's White Swan, 2. G. Fisher's Bessie also competed.

Half-deck Boats.—Anderson's Tui, 1 ; Smith's Cromwell, 2; Whitehouse's Rapid, 3. Two other boats also started.

Second-class Yachts.—Johnson's Atalanta, 1; Isa, 2; W. Rolton's May Queen, 3.

First class Yachts. —W. Rolton's Minnie, 1 ; May and Scott's Venessa, 2 ; ClendonVMona, 3. Three others also competed. , Sailing Vessels (between 15 and 25 tons). —Daviea' Sunderland, White's Harvest Home, and Spencer's Matakana contested this event, and they finished in the order named, but the Matakana won on her time allowance, and Harvest Home secured second place. The Amateur Whaleboat, Senior Whaleboat and Ladies' Whaleboat contests were won on each occasion by the crews th<\t rowed in the Hauraki boat, the Total being second, and Outsider third.

Pair-oared Race.—This event was won by Brownlee and Dunlop.
