UNIVERSITY BOAT-RACE.
OXFORD WINS,
London, March 17. The annual eighb-oared boat-race between crews representing Oxford and Cambridge Universities was rowed to-day over the usual course on the Thames, from Putney to Mortlake. The Oxford crew, who were warm favourites, led from star.t to finish, and won by four lengths, the race being a very hollow affair. The time was 21min 30sec. At the start 4to 1 was laid freely on the Oxford eight.
