THE MATABELE TROUBLE.
A SERIOUS CHARGE,
ARREST OF TWO TROOPERS.
Capetown, March 17. The Chartered Company's agents ab Bulawayo have leaftnb that on December 3rd, Lobengula senb messengers from his camp with a present of £1,000, and instructions to inform the British officers that he was willing to eurrender.
The messengers delivered the verbal message, and handed tho money to two troopers of the Imperial police force, who are now under arresb on suspicion of theft. They are also to be charged with concealing the terms of surrender from their officers, whereby they are morally answerable for the death of Lobengula and the slaughter of Major Allan Wilson's detachment.
